Campaign to Protect Rural England’s Countryside Awards 2018 “And the winner is…
The points have all been allocated, the votes have all been counted and the winners have finally been announced!
Congratulations to all our finalists who joined us at the ceremony for our Hampshire Countryside Awards 2018 on Tuesday 18 September.
It was wonderful to see so many people there and learn more about the amazing projects happening throughout Hampshire to enhance and sustain our countryside.
Dee Haas, Chair of CPRE Hampshire said, ‘It was a wonderful evening and to us, really all the Finalists were winners. The range of work being done throughout the county to support and celebrate the Hampshire Countryside is amazing and we are delighted to be able to share this evening with so many inspirational and devoted projects. Thank you to all our Sponsors and everyone involved for making this such a special evening.’
Our outstanding Finalists…
Rural Enterprise sponsored by Hildon
- Exton Park Vineyard
- Beechcroft Farm
- Gorilla Spirits
- The Wessex Wild Plum Company
And the winner is: Beechcroft Farm
Our judges said: ‘With the same footprint as the previously old barn, the new converted tearoom has offered an additional income to the farm enabling them to continue with low intensity and sensitive farming, whilst providing a lovely watering hole for the many walkers and cyclists that pass by. With little farm updates on a chalk board, only home grown meat sold in shop severed by local people and always a family farm member on hand this charming location educates all in “life on the farm”’.”
