Take quality meat to the next level with these sizzling flavour combinations.  Mix all in a pestle and mortar and rub into chilled meat or fish.  Marinade for a few hours to get the maximum flavour.

The Cave Man Steak Rub

1 tsp pepper, 1 tsp sea salt, 1 tsp sugar, 1 tsp cayenne pepper

couple dashes of cumin & paprika

1 beef bouillon cube, ½ tsp dried thyme

Malaysian Chicken Rub

1 tbsp canola oil, 1 tsp ground turmeric, 1 tsp Madras curry powder

2 tsp finely chopped coriander, 1 tsp lemon zest

1 tsp minced fresh garlic, ¼ tsp salt

Memphis Rib Rub

¼ tsp cayenne pepper, 1 tsp ground cumin, 2 tsp paprika

1 tsp dry oregano, 1 tsp sugar, 1 tsp salt

25 grinds fresh black pepper, 3 tbsp vegetable oil

Pork Dry Rub

¼ cup paprika, 1/8 cup fresh ground black pepper

1-2 tbsp garlic powder, 1-2 tbsp onion powder

1 tbsp cayenne powder, ¼ coarse salt, ¼ cup brown or white sugar

Cajun Blackened Fish

2 tbsp parika, 1 tbsp ground dried oregano, 1 tbsp ground dried thyme

1 tbsp cayenne powder, 1 tsp ground black pepper

1 tsp ground white pepper, 1 tsp garlic powder
