1 litre apple juice *
3 star anise
2 cloves (more – optional)
1 cinnamon stick, crumbled
1 lemon, sliced *
2 clementines (or oranges), sliced *
Place the apple juice in a large saucepan with the anise, cloves and cinnamon stick. Add the sliced lemon and clementines / oranges.
Gently heat until hot and leave to infuse for 10 – 15 minutes.
