‘A Knight Out’ cocktail ~ by Silent Pool Gin

November 13, 2018

“This stunning cocktail may take a little bit of effort, but it is certainly worth it! You will need:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  • 50ml Silent Pool Gin⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
  • 25ml Lemon juice⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
  • 20ml pumpkin seed orgeat (200g of pumpkin seeds + 150g of sugar + 200ml of water)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

To make the orgeat:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  1. Brew the pumpkin seeds and water in a pot over medium heat for 15 minutes⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
  2. Strain the pumpkin seeds out of the water⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
  3. Add 150g of sugar to the water, stir to dissolve then allow to cool⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
  4. Transfer into a clean, dry bottle and store in the fridge for up to a month.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

To make ‘A Knight Out’:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  1. Shake all ingredients together with cubed ice and double strain into a chilled cocktail glass.”⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

“We power our still the traditional way, burning locally sourced hard wood in a vintage steam boiler. Using fresh spring water pumped from the Silent Pool, and the finest 24 botanicals using locally sourced such as Lavender whenever possible. We have succeeded in creating a smooth, full-flavoured gin that is traditional yet refreshingly individual. Come have a taster at the next Hampshire Farmers’ Markets, we promise you won’t be disappointed!”
