Cherry Chutney Recipe

Serves: 16 

  • 325g fresh sweet cherries
  • 1 apple – peeled, cored and grated
  • 70ml cider vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 100g sugar

  1. Place all ingredients in a small pot and bring to the boil. Simmer uncovered for 45 minutes over medium heat, stirring often.
  2. Pour hot chutney into a sterilised jar and screw lid on tightly. Cool at room temperature and then store in the fridge
